Nanaimo Hells Angel Widdifield gets five-year sentence

Robert (Fred) Widdifield
April 23. A long-time member of the Nanaimo Hells Angels was sentenced to five years in prison for his role in the extortion of and theft from a former associate. Robert (Fred) Widdifield was convicted last December of trying to strong-arm his former business partner into handing over cash and a yacht.

The former friend, identified only as J.H. in court, went to police in 2010 after being repeatedly threatened by a junior Nanaimo Hells Angel named Rajinder Sandhu who the judge said was working on Widdifield’s behalf.

Rajinder Sandhu
Widdifield is a founding member of the Nanaimo Hells Angels. Sandhu has been a full patch member of the Nanaimo Hells Angels for 15 years. According to the complainant, he and Sandu worked together in the drug trafficking business.
