 | On May 27, Richard Wolfe, co-founder of the Indian Posse gang, collapsed and died at the Prince Albert Penitentiary where he was serving time. He was only 40. This follows the death of his younger brother, Danny Wolfe, who was stabbed in the same Saskatchewan prison in 2010. In the 1980's, the brothers co-founded the notorious Indian Posse gang with a manifesto to reclaim native pride by force. |  |
 | Criminal activity is being ruled out in the death of Richard Daniel Wolfe. The inmate had a history of heart trouble. Wolfe was most recently sentenced in January to five years for an attack and sex assault on a couple in Fort Qu’Appelle in 2014, which happened while he was on statutory release from a nearly 20-year sentence for attempted murder. Richard Wolfe was arrested 20 times before he was 12 years old. The gang was born in the Wolfe family home on a summer's day in Winnipeg in 1988. There were seven founding members, all of them native and poor. |  |
