Body of Steven Constantinou found in trunk of car in Montreal

The body of a man found in the trunk of a car a week ago in the Saint-Leonard area of Montreal is that of 22 year-old Steven Constantinou, a man linked to the Montreal Mafia and missing for three weeks. The disappearance is now a murder investigation.

The body was discovered in the trunk of a black Dodge Caliber, the same car Constantinou had left his home in. He had mentioned to his family that he was going out shopping and would be back for dinner. He never returned. No arrests have been made.

Steven Constantinou had ties with Giuseppe "Closure" Colapelle, a major drug importer related to the Rizzuto organized crime family. Colapelle was shot dead in March 2012 while he was in his vehicle in the parking lot of the bar Beaches, in the Saint-Leonard neighborhood.

Steven Constantinou also had links with two heavyweights of the Montreal Mafia, Marco Pizzi and Liborio "Poncho" Cuntrera. The murder of Steven Constantinou is the 18th in Montreal this year.
