Convicted cocaine trafficker busted again for attempting to smuggle drugs to Canada

A Jamaican man who recently completed a four-year jail term for cocaine trafficking is back in custody after attempting to ship cocaine to Canada in baking powder bags and Banko wine bottles.

Agents intercepted a box containing total of 9 kilos in Baking / Custard powder bags and 1.62 kilos of liquid cocaine in two Banko wine bottles found in mail destined for Canada. The consignment of drugs was due to leave on Fly Jamaica. Checks led to the shipper being found hiding in a house. He was arrested and will be put before the courts. The 63 year-old was recently released from Camp Street Prison after completing a four year sentence for attempting to ship cocaine in households products to West Africa.
