Score of High Profile Gangster Trials

The trial for three men charged with the first degree, 2011 murder of Red Scorpion gangster Jonathan Bacon will start May 15th. Jujhar Singh Khun-Khun, Michael Jones and Jason McBride are also charged with the attempted murder of Hells Angel Larry Amero and Independent Soldier James Riach and two women who were all in the Porsche Cayenne when it was sprayed by gunfire.
Well recognized Hells Angel Larry Amero is set to go to trial in July. He was arrested as part of Project Loquace, a lengthy investigation into an international drug ring importing up to 75 kilograms of cocaine per week through links to Mexican and South American cartels.

Rabih Alkhalil is also charged and will go to trial in January. He is currently on trial in Ontario for the targeted murder of Johnnie Raposo in Toronto’s Little Italy in June 2012. Alkhalil is also charged in the Vancouver murder of rival Sandip Duhre.

The Cory Vallee murder trial continues. He is accused of first degree murder of Kevin LeClair who was shot to death in 2009. An ex-United Nations gangster paid $300,000 to testify has been on the stand for 9 days so far.
Accused Surrey Six killer Jamie Bacon was arrested at his home on April 4th, 2009. His murder trial has been delayed until March 2018, more than a decade after the Surrey Six murders he is alleged to have plotted. A defence motion to stay the charges against the notorious gangster due to the lengthy delay has been launched. Bacon is alleged to have ordered the hit on rival drug trafficker Corey Lal that went out of control on Oct. 19, 2007 and resulted in the murder of Lal, his brother Michael, associates Ryan Bartolomeo and Eddie Narong, and bystanders Chris Mohan and Ed Schellenberg.
