Major League Cocaine operation busted in GTA

RCMP raids across the GTA have dismantled an international cocaine smuggling ring and landed seven men in jail. Police seized 130 kg of cocaine during the investigation.

Police say the drugs came from Panama City and other "drug source" countries and were smuggled through Pearson International Airport on commercial flights using different “sophisticated techniques and concealment methods”.

The 16-month long investigation began in February 2016 with information from police authorities in Jamaica about 90 kg of cocaine being smuggled into Canada from Panama City, Panama.
Mark Chodkiewicz, 35, Garren Brown, 39, and Donovan Brown, 46 has been charged with importing cocaine, trafficking cocaine, conspiracy to import cocaine, and possession of the proceeds of crime. Brian Stewart, 38, Damian Rose, 37, Wayne Blackwood, 51, and Devon McLean, 48, have been charged with importing cocaine and conspiracy to import cocaine.
