 | Long Beach police seized 88 pounds of cocaine this week and arrested Joel Benedict Medina, 36, on suspicion of possession for sales and transportation of the drug. During a routine traffic stop, police said the driver began acting nervous after his vehicle was pulled over. Officers requested backup and a K-9 was brought in.
Police discovered two large duffel bags inside the vehicle. Both bags contained 35 bricks of cocaine each weighing roughly 2.5 pounds. | Medina remains in custody at Long Beach Jail and his bail has been set at $1 million. |
