No getting rid of UK cocaine trafficker David Roger Revell

Hells Angels associate David Roger Revell lost his bid to stop his deportation to the UK. The former Kelowna resident was convicted in 2008 of conspiracy to traffic cocaine after an RCMP undercover operation targeting the Hells Angels. He was sentenced to five years. In 2013, he pleaded guilty to two assault charges in a domestic violence case.

Revell was born in England and was brought to Canada as a 10-year-old in 1974. He never got Canadian citizenship. His lawyer argued Revell’s Charter rights were being violated.

It was found sending the busted trafficker back to England would not amount to “cruel and unusual” punishment.
Revell has already filed an appeal of the ruling and his date of exit remains unknown.
