Kentucky Fentanyl/Carfentanil dealer pulls 35 years

A man was sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for supplying fentanyl and carfentanil that led to a series of overdoses and one fatality. Wesley Hamm was found guilty of conspiring to distribute fentanyl, distributing carfentanil that resulted in a death, and distributing carfentanil that resulted in serious bodily injury.

A dozen fentanyl and carfentanil related overdoses were reported in Mount Sterling on Aug. 24 and 25 last year. Montgomery County native Lonnie Kevin Willoughby, 37, died. Hamm must spend 29 years and 9 months in prison before he is eligible for parole.
