Wheel Heist busted in Texas

Four people have been arrested and at least eight others are wanted for felony charges after investigators uncovered a crime ring responsible for the thefts of hundreds of vehicle tires and wheels in Texas.

The crime ring has been the subject of a 14 month investigation. Investigators said tires and wheels were stolen while the vehicles sat in the victims' driveways.
Suspects are charged with felony theft and engaging in organized crime. Investigators said the group targeted vehicle — mainly truck — owners in the Houston area.

Deputies recovered thousands of stolen tires and wheels from Martinez Wheel Connection. Officers arrested Jose "Joe" Martinez-Garcia, 53, and his son Pierre Martinez, 28, during the raid.
