Nairobi's most wanted Gangster Queen arrested

Described by police as the country's most dangerous female gangster, Lavender Akinyi Ogilo has been arrested. She is the gang leader of a criminal group that has been breaking into houses in Nairobi's posh estates of Muthaiga, Lavington, Hurligham and Kileleshwa. Ogilo had been at the top on their list of most wanted gangsters in Nairobi.

She was arrested after police raided her house in Ruaka, Nairobi.
Ogilo would arrive at a house, knock at the door, after which her men would force their way in as soon as the victim opens it. "She is dangerous and operates with armed gangsters who are still at large," a police statement read.

The gang had operated for over three years.
