Oz 'Elite hacker' accused as dark web drug kingpin

A self-described "elite hacker" from Sydney is accused of being the head of an international drug syndicate. Dov Tenenboim, 33, was arrested by Strike Force detectives across the road from his Vaucluse apartment. NSW Police say they have been watching Mr Tenenboim for months as they suspected him of importing illicit drugs via the "dark web".
Tenenboim is facing 50 charges, including knowingly directing activities of a criminal group, importing a commercial quantity of border controlled substance and supplying a prohibited drug.

During a raid of his apartment, officers seized drugs, computers, mobile phones, a diamond ring, $69,685 in cash and $350,000 worth of cryptocurrency.
His lawyer claims Tenenboim is suffering severe anxiety and requires medication.
