Mob Boss Trump demands protection from flippers

A 'roll-up' of any crime organization means the cops would first find evidence of crimes against lower-level figures, and then threaten them with lengthy prison sentences unless they provide evidence against higher-ranking figures.

The roll-up moves from bottom to top. It would be virtually impossible to prosecute organized crime if one can't trade lenient sentences for cooperation.
"I know all about flipping, for 30, 40 years I’ve been watching flippers” Trump told Fox News yesterday. “Everything’s wonderful, and then they get ten years in jail and they flip on whoever the next-highest one is, or as high as you can go.” Former FBI Director James Comey famously described Trump, the man who fired him, as a “mob boss.”

In describing how Trump met the definition, Comey said:
“The boss in complete control. The loyalty oaths. The us-versus-them worldview. The lying about all things, large and small, in service to some code of loyalty that put the organization above morality and above the truth.”
