50 pounds of fentanyl found hidden in a car carrying a toddler

Customs and Border Protection officers seized $4m worth of drugs at the California-Mexico border over four days. CBP intercepted 387 pounds of methamphetamine, 182 pounds of marijuana, 65 pounds of fentanyl and 51 pounds of heroin. Most of the fentanyl was seized when a drug-sniffing dog zeroed in on a 2007 Ford Fusion at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry.
A 23-year-old Mexican citizen was driving accompanied by a 21-year-old U.S. citizen and her 20-month-old daughter. Officers found 53 pounds of fentanyl hidden inside the Focus’ rocker panels.

Border officials seize millions in meth, heroin, fentanyl
Border Patrol agents made another big drug bust over the Labor Day weekend. An agent noticed a tractor hauling a shipment of metal oil filters and called for an inspection. Officers discovered 131 pounds of meth, 34.6 pounds of heroin, 9.4 pounds of fentanyl and 6.87 pounds of acetaminophen upon inspection of the tractor. A 27-year-old Mexican citizen was arrested.
