John Furber pulls 26 months for 28 grams of carfentanil

John FurberNew Hampshire man John Furber will spend 26 months in federal prison for selling fentanyl and carfentanil. 10 grams of fentanyl was found during a traffic stop. A month later police found Furber with another 9 grams of fentanyl and over 28 grams of carfentanil. 28 grams of carfentanil would produce something around 14 million potentially deadly doses.

"Those responsible for distributing lethal drugs like fentanyl and carfentanil to the citizens of New Hampshire need to be held accountable for their actions." While giving lip service to the reality of fentanyls, the criminal justice system has failed the citizens of New Hampshire by giving Furber a pass.
New Hampshire has the second highest rate of opioid-related overdose deaths in the US. Only Ohio leads.
Is 26 months holding this man "accountable" for his repeated actions? This space doubts it. The amount of carfentanil is jaw dropping. The odds of Mr. Furber returning to his grossly profitable trade of killing Americans after his release seems overwhelming.
