Australian border officials have cracked a major drug-smuggling case involving a piece of construction equipment stuffed with 384 kilograms of cocaine. The cocaine was concealed inside the hydraulic arm of a second-hand excavator. Border officials spotted the drugs using a routine X-ray check at a port in Sydney in June. Adam Hunter, 33, and Timothy Engstrom, 34, were arrested in connection with the case. Both men have been charged with importing a commercial quantity of a border-controlled drug. |
