'#Chickenshit' - Update - Trump fires Alexander S. Vindman

The lieutenant colonel testified in the House impeachment investigation in October in what was considered the most damaging testimony for Trump.

National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien said that Vindman would be removed from his post as Director for European Affairs as part of a “streamlining”.

ClickAlexander S. Vindman is a lieutenant colonel in the Army. He came to America from Ukraine at the age of 3 and has served America his entire career. He was wounded by an IED in Iraq and received a purple heart.

His opening statement was released to the press, ahead of his appearance today. A few days ago Vindman’s statement would have been called a stunning smoking gun, though now the facts are very clear.

Vindman heard Ambassador Gordon Sondland, Trump’s European Union envoy, demand that Ukrainians investigate Joe Biden’s family and that he told Sondland this was inappropriate. Vindman testified there were crucial omissions in the rough transcript the White House released of the call.
