'Drug Llama' Melissa Scanlan - 13 years in jail

Melissa Scanlan 'The Drug Llama' has been sentenced to 160 months in federal prison.
Co-conspirator Brandon Arias, 34, was sentenced to nine years in prison.The 'Drug Llama', Melissa Scanlan, 32, pleaded guilty to federal charges in Illinois to trafficking fentanyl causing death.

She sold more than 50,000 pills nationwide since October 2016.
Her dark net operation killed at least two in California, a 10-month-old boy and a 41-year old woman. The child died when his father left Scanlan's fentanyl unattended.

When cops busted her San Diego home, she admitted to obtaining drugs from a Mexican cartel. The 11th hour addition to Scanlan's plea agreement-the death count- means she is looking at 20 years in jail. Scanlan's sentencing is in February.
