John 'Sonny' Franzese dead at 103

The longtime underboss was jailed multiple times for racketeering, fraud, loansharking and assault.Legendary Colombo mobster John 'Sonny' Franzese has died at a New York City hospital. He was 103.

The mobster did his time without turning on his mob associates following a 1967 conviction that was widely considered a setup.
Sentenced to a 50-year stretch, Franzese was finally freed in 2017 at the age of 100.
Franzese acknowledged killing 10 men, with other estimates of his mob murders running in the dozens. He was tried for murder once, and was acquitted.
