 The charges were filed under the Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act - RICO. | The U.S. Attorney’s office described a murder plot involving Hells Angels in Sonoma, Fresno, and Massachusetts. The victim, Joel Silva, was a sergeant-at-arms who’d fallen out of favor for his drug use. He was shot in the back of the head and cremated six years ago. 40-year-old Brian Wendt murdered Silva at the Fresno Hells Angels clubhouse. He was aided by Russell Ott, 64, Jonathan Nelson, 41, and Christopher Ranieri, 49. Another defendant is the former president of the Hells Angels Sonoma, Raymond ‘Ray Ray’ Foakes, who was convicted of mortgage fraud.
