Belfast gangsters UDA labelled evil scum

Ulster Freedom Fighters was a name used by members of the Ulster Defence Association (UDA) to claim responsibility for sectarian killings, punishment shootings, and other violence. The UDA was founded in 1971 as an amalgam of local Protestant vigilante groups. It was formed to protect Protestant districts against republican attack. By the 80s the group had devolved into street gangsters and drug dealers. UDA thugs have been branded for forcing a heroin addict from her home with death threats while protecting a heroin dealer held in a loyalist prison wing. Natalie Graham spent Christmas sleeping on the streets of Belfast after being warned by cops that the gang was planning to kill her. Graham believes she was threatened because she made statements to cops naming senior UDA figures as having sexually abused her as a child.
