Meyer Lansky's Medal of Freedom up for grabs

The medal is estimated at $60k.
A Medal of Freedom awarded to Meyer Lansky in a 1945 ceremony by US President Harry S. Truman goes under the hammer. The medal was bestowed by Truman for operation "Husky" during WW II. Lansky and Charles 'Lucky' Luciano were rewarded for their service.
Bugsy Siegal gear is also up for grabs. Hand-painted statues of flamingos were gifted to VIPs on the 1946 opening night of the hotel. They are expected to go for $3k. Siegel's Smith and Wesson .38 CTG revolver is estimated to $30k.
