Devon Pelley used covid funds to buy gun parts - going away

Devon Pelley, 31, decided his COVID-relief money should be used to buy gun parts from the US. He pleaded guilty to 10 firearm importation and gun possession charges. Cops intercepted four slides and barrels, mailed from Alpharetta, Georgia, to a budget hotel on Queen Street West in Toronto. He imported a Donald Trump-branded semi-automatic. Pelley could have assembled four fully operational handguns that have the potential to be sold for at least $2,500 each. The prosecutor is seeking four years. Defence is seeking 3 years, the mandatory minimum.
