Vincent Ricciardo 'Vinny Unions' has joined his Colombo mob cohorts and pleaded guilty. Ricciardo, 77, pleaded guilty to loansharking and money laundering. Ricciardo was denied bail and has been caged since 2021. His threats to kill a union boss were caught on tape and cooked him. “We will send people he don’t know right to his fucking house,” Ricciardo said in one conversation. In another, he says “Let me tell you something,” he declared. “To prove a point? I would fucking shoot him right in front of his wife and kids." Soldier John 'Maniac' Ragano goes away for 5 years.
Colombo crime family ‘boss-to-be’ Theodore Persico Jr., 59, has taken a plea in the case which brought down boss Andrew “Mush” Russo, underboss Benjamin 'Benji' Castellazzo, consigliere Ralph DiMatteo and capos Richard Ferrara and Vincent Ricciardo. DiMatteo pleaded guilty on July 6. Once Ricciardo enters his guilty plea on Friday, all of the 14 suspects in the case will have taken a plea. Russo died in April 2022 at age 87. The labor union shakedown started in 2001.
By 2019, Vincent Ricciardo, known as “Vinnie Unions,” threatened to murder a construction union boss who was forced to surrender a portion of his annual income to the mob.
