Nicola Spagnolo – ‘un vieux crisse de rich’

Mafia heavyweight Nicola Spagnolo, 50, automatically qualified for release on the sentence he received for stabbing a man in Old Montreal, but he will remain behind bars because of his recent arrest as a result of the disclosures of Frédérick Silva. Spagnolo was sentenced to 3 years in jail after being found guilty of aggravated assault in December 2022.

The bar stabbing had nothing to do with organized crime. Spagnolo was drunk. He described himself as a seller of used luxury cars. The crown said the attack was “vicious, underhanded and cowardly”. Spagnolo appeared by video conference at the Montreal courthouse where he was charged with the first-degree murder of Lorenzo LoPresti, who was killed in St-Laurent on Oct. 24, 2011.

Spagnolo is management in the Montreal mafia with Leonardo Rizzuto and Stefano Sollecito. Project Alliance lassoed all 3 men.
