Shots fired at Maple ridge home again - Karan Aujla

A megahome in east Maple Ridge has been the target of two shootings in three weeks. At around 2:20 a.m., on Wednesday, June 18, Ridge Meadows RCMP confirmed they responded to a report of several shots fired at the residence in the 12400 block of 266 Street. Media says the house belongs to a 'prominent figure in the Punjabi music industry'. Its been suggested that it is Jaskaran Singh Aujla, a Punjabi rapper, singer and songwriter.
Jaskaran Singh Aujla was born on 18 January 1997 in the Ghurala village of Ludhiana district in Punjab, India. He came to Canada in 2014. Aujla had a well-known public rivalry with fellow rapper Sidhu Moose Wala. Both took shots at each other through their songs. Aujla has received complaints regarding his lyrics and stage demeanor. In February 2020, Chandigarh Police advised him not to sing any of his songs promoting violence, guns or drugs. He is firmly in the Khalistani camp. He supports radical Khalistani elements and the soft promotion of the Khalistani narrative through his music. It's said the Bishnoi gang made extortion demands.
