It was late 2022 when it was reported Salvatore Cazzetta had been forced to retire from the HAMC. An unexpected outcome, a forced retirement is akin to expulsion. Cazzetta, then 67, was considered among the most influential bikers in Quebec for more than 30 years. “Sal” Cazzetta, also known as “La Barbe” (the beard) founded the Rock Machine MC in 1986, and was president. He later joined the Hells Angels after the Quebec Biker War.
A major player for decades, it was said Cazzetta lost the support of fellow bikers. Cazzetta had strong ties to then recently released Raynald Desjardins, a force within the Calabrian Mafia in Montreal. Whacked dealer Maxime Lenoir had a close connection to Cazzetta. Lenoir was the head of an HAMC methamphetamine manufacturing lab that was busted.
Sergio Piccirilli, 65, is a childhood friend of Salvatore Cazzetta. He was parolled in late 2022 after an extended prison stay. Ties to the HAMC ran deep. Piccirilli was close to Sharon Simon, the Queen of Kanesatake. Her daughter Annie Arbic married HA kingpin Martin Robert in 2018. The marriage was the social event of the decade for the HA and organized crime in Quebec. Both Piccirilli and Cazzetta attended.
The internet reveals no clues regarding Salvatore Cazzetta since his retirement.
