Mohammad Riyadul Hoque

On June 24, 2025, Mohammad Riyadul Hoque, 32, of Winnipeg, was found in possession of 147 grams of crack cocaine, 70 pills of fentanyl, and other pills believed to be Percocet/Oxycontin. The punchline is that Hoque was on bail on charges of drug trafficking and money laundering. He was busted cold by RCMP organized crime investigators in September 2023, after he was caught selling large quantities of crack cocaine and illicit opioids to undercover cops, then laundering millions in proceeds at casinos run by Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries. Hoque supplied T3s, Percocet’s, crack, and fentanyl to the remote First Nation communities of Red Sucker Lake, Garden Hill, Island Lake, and St. Theresa Point in Manitoba. There were also connections to North Spirit Lake in Ontario, as well as in Winnipeg. Cops seized two vehicles, 498 grams of crack, 882 fentanyl pills, 241 Percocet tablets, 26 gabapentin tablets, and 348 tablets of unknown substances.

He pleaded guilty to trafficking fentanyl and laundering the proceeds of crime June 23, 2025. He was busted again the next day. Hoque claimed his fortune came from his wealthy parents and a fried chicken restaurant he co-owned. When busted cold again with the dope, he told cops he didn’t know drugs were in the packages and had picked them up for somebody else.
