15 year old busted for Dawood Zakaria hit

A 15-year-old youth has been accused of being involved in the fatal shooting of Oz gangland figure Dawood Zakaria. Zakaria, 32, died in May after being shot in the head in a drive-by shooting in western Sydney.

The Alameddine crime network operates out of the Sydney suburb of Merrylands. The gang, led by Rafat Alameddine, is one of the biggest drug dealers in Sydney. The Alameddines gained notoriety for an extended feud with the Hamzy/Hamze crime family, the most dominant faction of the Brothers for Life gang.

Ibrahem Hamze (center) was the target of John Ray Bayssari (left) and Rafat Alameddine (right). Exiled Sydney crime boss Rafat Alameddine offered $1m to have Ibrahem Hamze killed. Rafat Alameddine has been living in Lebanon as a free man.

Talal Alameddine famously remarked ‘my beard is for ISIS’, implying a connection between the gangsters and Islamic extremists.
