Anandpur Khalsa Fouj – AKF – Harjit Singh Pattar

Akali Dal Waris Punjab De, the political party of jailed Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh, has denied any association with Canada based Anandpur Khalsa Fauj International Association (AKFIA). That means there is a connection between the two terrorist groups.

The newest Khalistani terrorist organization in Canada is the AKF. The AKF was established at the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey, B.C. in May, 2025. Anandpur city is one of the most sacred religious places in Sikhism. Khalsa Fauj refers to ‘Army of the Pure’. The group is reportedly being funded by Pakistan and has raised concerns by appearing outside the Indian embassy. A key figure linked to AKF is Harjit Singh Pattar, famous for a viral 2024 video where he brandished automatic weapons at a Surrey wedding. The executed Hardeep Singh Nijjar was closely tied to Harjit Singh Pattar.

Cops seized automatic firearms in 2024 after a video circulated on social media showing a group of Sikh dancing at a Surrey wedding celebration. The video sparked widespread concern about public safety and terrorism. Harjit Singh Pattar was filmed at a pre-wedding ceremony for his son. Pattar is closely tied to the secessionist group Sikhs for Justice and serious nut Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.

Sukhjinder Pal Singh Mann is associated with the AKFIA’s formation in Surrey. When contacted by Indian media he said; “Our organisation has been formed for the freedom of Punjab.”
