Tonne of cocaine worth £80m found on Sussex beach

Strollers on a beach near Hastings stumbled across large packages concealing a tonne of cocaine.
The packages, all in waterproof bags and attached to life jackets for floatation, had a combined weight of around 960kg. If cut and sold on the streets in the UK it would have had an estimated street value of around £80m. Two separate consignments of packages were found washed up on beaches near Hastings and Newhaven, East Sussex.
