Nicola Spagnolo - 'un vieux crisse de rich'

Mafia heavyweight Nicola Spagnolo, 50, automatically qualified for release on the sentence he received for stabbing a man in Old Montreal, but he will remain behind bars because of his recent arrest as a result of Frédérick Silva. Spagnolo appeared by video conference at the Montreal courthouse where he was charged with the first-degree murder of Lorenzo LoPresti, who was killed in St-Laurent on Oct. 24, 2011.
Spagnolo was sentenced to 3 years in jail after being found guilty of aggravated assault in December 2022. The bar stabbing had nothing to do with organized crime. Spagnolo was drunk. He described himself as a seller of used luxury cars. The crown said the attack was “vicious, underhanded and cowardly”.

Spagnolo is considered management in the Montreal mafia.
Nicola Spagnolo was found guilty of aggravated assault in a stabbing outside a bar in Old Montreal. Video from the Boho Bar sunk him. He faced a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison. The victim testified he didn't know Spagnolo before they began arguing after leaving the Boho bar. He said they were both drunk. The victim described his assailant as "un vieux crisse de riche" (rich old man)
Spagnolo is a member of the Montreal mafia's executive, sitting alongside Leonardo Rizzuto and Stefano Sollecito. Project Alliance lassoed all 3 men.
