Yaniv appears – theatre of the absurd

Jonathan Yaniv appeared for his rubber stamp foreclosure hearing in DT Vancouver yesterday and by all accounts it was a circus clown performance, complete with a little car (wheelchair) and dogs in outfits. Here. As usual the courthouse was packed with matters but Yaniv demanded the attention of all. At one point apparently 6 sheriffs were present due to the ‘bomb threats’ claimed by Yaniv et al.

The mortgage forclosure process in B.C. is a standardized process. At this point Yaniv and crew are SERIOUSLY under water on the condo mortgage. They are now in the final 6 month redemption period. The mortgage accrues interest compounded daily and if it isn’t paid out in full within the next 6 months a final order nisi will be issued. This will hand conduct of sale over to the lender who will then list the unit with a realtor for disposition.
