Trois-Rivières HA recruit Jack Simpson, 82

It was curious news in October 2024 when notorious 82-year-old criminal Jack Simpson announced himself as the Hells Angels’ newest recruit. Simpson sported his Trois-Rivières Hells hangaround colours at their Hérouxville hangout. Simpson wore a “patch bottom” – a cut with the words “Trois-Rivières” on the back, without the Hells Angels name or logo – thus signifying an official status in the Hells Angels hierarchy.

Simpson is infamous as being close to kingpin Raynald Desjardins, with whom he plotted the assassination of aspiring godfather Salvatore Montagna in 2011.

Under Hells’ internal rules, Simpson could become a prospect in 2025 before being promoted to full patch member. The identification of the octogenarian caused surprise in cop circles. The current guard in Quebec have been under pressure from a new generation that don’t feel a need to respect them or their 10% street tax. The average age of the 16 members of the Quebec chapter of the Hells Angels is 61 years old. The BMF ‘Blood Family Mafia’ were even so bold as to attempt to kidnap veteran Hells Angel Mario “Banane” Auger. The BFM is suspected of having fired on the residence of Mathieu Pelletier, as well as at the Hells clubhouses in Frampton, Beauce, and Hérouxville. Teenaged members of the Everybody Gets Killed (EGK) street gang were armed with AK-47 rifles and tasked with attacking the hideout in Frampton on the night of September 16 2024. The EGK is said to operate under the authority of an even more violent Montreal gang called Arab Power. Sylvain Kabbouchi, one of the leaders of Arab Power, was killed in prison July 20, 2025.

The addition of the clearly over the hill Jack Simpson does little to nothing to enhance the image of the HAMC in Quebec. The club is in dire need of new and younger blood. Jack Simpson is surely neither.
