John Potvin, wanted Canada-wide for his role in helping Rabih Alkhalil break out of jail, has been arrested in Spain. |
Edward Ayoub, John Potvin and Ryan van Gool are charged with conspiracy to commit prison breach and prison breach. They assisted Rabih (Robby) Alkhalil in his escape from North Fraser Pretrial Centre in July 2022. The trio were also nailed for other crimes. Ryan Van Gool, Bryce Telford, and Scott Telford were arrested on September 5, 2025 due to a murder plot and remain in custody. Edward Ayoub was already in custody on other matters. 17 charges against the five men are by direct indictment.
Rabih ‘Robby’ Alkhalil has been pinched in Qatar. Several sources confirmed that the wanted Wolfpack gangster had been picked up by local authorities on September 5, 2025. Alkhalil was convicted in absentia of first-degree murder in the 2012 slaying of Sandip Duhre. He was also convicted of conspiring to kill Duhre, as well as gangster Sukh Dhak. He was already serving life for the June 2012 murder in Toronto of Johnny Raposo.

Rabih ‘Robby’ Alkhalil vanished 3 years ago from the ‘high’ security North Fraser Pretrial, strolling under security cameras, past guards and out the front door of a maximum-security lock-up while on trial for murder.

Alkhalil flew a month before a Vancouver jury convicted him in absentia of first-degree murder in the 2012 slaying of Sandip Duhre. He was also convicted of conspiring to kill Duhre and Sukh Dhak, who was gunned down in 2012. Alkhalil was ‘least-wanted valentine’ for CrimeStoppers. Alkhalil is the gangster’s gangster and could be anywhere.
Jailed in the same unit as Larry Amero while on trial, its said the HA biker declined his chance at freedom with Alkhalil. That decision seemed less intelligent as time passed and he serves out his sentence for the gangland killings. Now however it appears the right decision. Amero will get out of jail before becoming an old man. The same can’t be said for Alkhalil.
