Once registered, cons have benefits and rights and are eligible for a range of federal and provincial or territorial programs and services. They also become eligible for other programs and services offered by non-government providers.
Opaskwayak Cree Nation Chief Maureen Brown shot a flaming arrow on August 15, 2024 for Opaskwayak Indigenous Days. “I’m the first woman chief, so I’ve had a lot of inquiries about my ability to be able to pull that off,” Brown said.
