All vocals on ‘Gimme Shelter’ were handled by Mick Jagger. Performances remain famous instead for the finely crafted solos by lead guitarist Mick Taylor. He didn’t play on the studio recording of the song. Mick Taylor was in the Rolling Stones from 1969 to 1974.
