Calgary 911 operator Mariana Buonincontri

Folks who called Buonincontri for help were ratted out to gangsters.
When Calgary detectives found images of highly sensitive police database searches on the cellphones of 2 men associated with the FK and Independent Soldier gangs twice in 6 weeks, they knew they had a problem. Their evidence led to a judge's sign-off, allowing detectives access to the data on three cellphones. The phones belonged to 911 operator Mariana Buonincontri and two men; Steven Mark and Domenico Loiacono. Domenico Loiacono is tied to the Independent Soldiers and is serving a 6.5 year sentence for drug trafficking.
Steven Mark was busted after another drug investigation. His iPhone was seized and revealed 3 more screen shots. Items shared to Mark and Loiacono's phones between April and December 2022 had one thing in common: the searches were all done by regimental #90028, Marian Buonincontri. By the time charges were laid against Buonincontri, cops had discovered hundreds of improper screenshots of police database searches.
Buonincontri, 59, is charged with breach of trust, fraudulent use of a computer system, and wilfully committing mischief in relation to computer data. Cops say Buonincontri intentionally shared protected information to gangsters. Cops investigated for over a year after a data breach, and warrants found over 200 pictures of sensitive police data.
Mariana Buonincontri pulled searches targeting individuals connected to organized crime and then provided the information to the same Calgary thugs for at least 13 months. Buonincontri is set to go on trial this year.
