Dubai boltholes losing appeal for gangsters

Scot crime boss Steven Lyons has left his luxury Dubai bolthole over safety fears. The hood, 39, is said to have a £200k bounty on his head. Lyons moved his HQ amid concerns of a hit by rivals and after a series of huge drug busts. He was left 'cut off' from his crew after the EncroChat hack.

Irish cops are said to be probing “credible” intelligence that mob chief Daniel Kinahan, 42, is also on the move.
Info from the international hack of EncroChat led cops in Scotland to seize over £25m of drugs.

Insiders believe a good part of that huge haul belonged to the Lyons gang. Dozens of gangsters were given “threat to life” warnings after assassination plots were uncovered by cops in the EncroChat hack.

R Kelly smacked stupid in prison - Update

Jeremiah Shane Farmer, a convicted member of the Latin Kings, outed himself as Kelly’s attacker. He’s facing a mandatory life sentence for racketeering conspiracy involving a 1999 double murder. Among other things, Farmer was peeved about the frequent lock-downs caused by R Kelly fans in front of the prison.

Farmer was convicted in the June 25, 1999, slayings of Marion Lowry, 74, and Harvey Siegers, 67, who were beaten to death with a small sledgehammer.
R&B singer R. Kelly, who is awaiting trial on child pornography and other charges, was assaulted by a fellow detainee at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago.

Kelly, 53, faces several dozen counts of state and federal sexual misconduct charges in Illinois, Minnesota and New York. The mountain of charges range from sexual assault to racketeering.

Gangland Tattoos

Clown face/mask tattoos are common. "Laugh now, cry later", "Play now, pay later", "My happy life, my sad life", "Smile now, cry later".
Non-gang members with tattoos like these may put themselves at serious risk from gang members offended by others stealing their marks.

Tattoo of the "Black Hand of Death", a symbol used by the Mexican Mafia.

Aryan Brotherhood: a shamrock with the number "6"on each of the three leaves with the letters "AB"underneath

The Hells Angels "AFFA" represents "Angels Forever, Forever Angels".

The HA fiercely protect the "Death Head". It is always considered property of the club.

'Filthy Few' refers to Hells Angels members who have killed for the club.
The teardrop’s meaning varies. It can mean a lengthy prison sentence or it might mean the wearer has committed murder. An unfilled teardrop may signify the death of a friend, with the person shading it in when they have avenged their loss.

A Five-point crown is the symbol of the Latin Kings gang, which is one of the biggest Hispanic gangs in the U.S. based out of Chicago.

The three dots tattoo is a common prison tattoo that represents “mi vida loca,” or “my crazy life.” It’s not associated with any particular gang, but with the gang lifestyle.

The swastika is used as a symbol to identify white supremacist groups worldwide

Five dots represents time done in prison.
Cats often symbolize a thief's pedigree. A single cat says they acted alone; several cats together indicate a gang.

A spider web often represents time spent in prison and/or time spent caught in the web of the "gang lifestyle".

US made .50 caliber sniper rifles popular with cartel gunmen

Jalisco New Generation gunmen used .50 caliber rifles during an ambush on Mexico City’s police chief in June..50 caliber rifles are used by military sharpshooters for long-range sniping. These rifles can be lethal at distances of over a mile and fire bullets capable of punching through armor, passing through the engine block of a truck, or taking down a helicopter with a well placed shot.
.50 caliber rifles are legal in 47 states, including on the border in Arizona and Texas. The weapons are readily available for around $8k, no questions asked.

It's said to be very easy to get items over the border because most of the enforcement is focused on south to north movement, not north to south.

Ballroom Blitz

The term 'Ballroom Blitz' is known to North Americans as a popular rock song. In Australia it refers to an infamous 2006 brawl between the Finks and Hells Angels bikie gangs. Bikie Shane Bowden is finally paying the price for his role in the melee with 6.5 years in jail.

One-time Fink and soon-to-be convicted murderer Christopher Wayne Hudson defected to the Hells Angels, a move that angered his former gang and caused a biker throw-down remembered to this day.

Mobster Christopher Chierchio 'won' the sucker lottery

Mobster Christopher Chierchio, 52, a solider in the Genovese family, flew on private jets, was chauffeur-driven around in an Escalade and had an apartment in a $11k per month luxury Manhattan building equipped with swimming pools, a fitness center and attaches to run errands. All the money was stolen. Chierchio was the main player in a scheme orchestrated by Jason Kurland, 46, a Long Island-based attorney, who proclaimed himself the “Lottery Lawyer.”

He gained his victims’ trust through safe investments. Once hooked he directed funds to his mob cronies.
Thieves ripped off more than $100m from three of the attorney’s clients, all huge lottery winners who had invested their money with Kurland.

Chierchio, Kurland, and two others were indicted in Brooklyn federal court and charged with wire fraud, wire-fraud conspiracy, money laundering and money-laundering conspiracy. The scam ran from October 2018 through last week.
