Netherlands Hells Angels argue against ban - 'dubious websites'

The court in Utrecht banned the club last year. Lawyer Geert-Jan Knoops told the court in Arnhem that the state is wrongfully portraying the Hells Angels as a criminal organization. They use a strategy which relies on "tabloids from the gossip press and obscure, dubious websites". Bikers roundly denounced the 'smear campaign.'
The Public Prosecution Service mapped out 1,500 incidents (worldwide) that support the argument for the ban: the Hells Angels MC are not an association for tough freedom lovers, their's is a criminal culture of violence that is a danger to society.
