Gangster Dilpreet Singh, 'Baba' charged in hit

Dilpreet Singh, 'Baba', was busted by the Chandigarh Police for the murder of Gurlal Brar, 26. Brar was gunned down by three motorcycle-borne miscreants. The Davinder Bambiha group were behind the murder.
Gurmeet Singh provided the motorcycle to the shooters for a promised 20 gm of heroin.

José Lara arrested for Mormon massacre

A cartel-linked gangster was arrested for his role in the murder of three Mormon mothers and their six children last year.

José Lara, a member of a gang working with the Juárez Cartel, was busted Wednesday in connection to the massacre of the families on a remote road in Bavispe, Sonora, on Nov. 4, 2019. Lara is the 13th person arrested by Mexican authorities in connection to the massacre.
Lara's accomplice, Jesús Parra, was arrested in June.

Daniel 'Dirty Danny' Mongelli wins Covid-19 lottery

After being denied for release Daniel 'Dirty Danny' Mongelli won the lottery and caught Covid-19 in jail. He was sprung from a federal prison by the same judge this week.
Mongelli was an acting captain of the Bonannos when family associate Louis Tuzzio was whacked in an intra-family hit in 1990. He was part of the conspiracy to murder Tuzzio.
Mongelli lured Tuzzio to his death by leading him to believe he was going to a meeting where he might become made. “I was there when Louis Tuzzio was murdered and I knew he was going to be murdered,” said Mongelli when he pleaded guilty. Mongelli served as lookout for the Brooklyn hit.

Acting Bonanno boss Anthony Spero ordered Tuzzio killed to appease John Gotti. He died in 2008. Mongelli, now 54, recently underwent radiation treatment for prostate cancer.

Vancito Gumbs faces 15 more years

Vancito Gumbs is a former Georgia police officer convicted in a massive gang racketeering case. After spending 4 years in prison, he was dealt another 15 years for his role in the Gangster Disciples. Its the end of a long fall for Gumbs, who moved to the US as a teenager from the U.S. Virgin Islands and went on to fight against Taliban forces in the Middle East.

After deployment, he took a job at the DeKalb County Police Department. He met Kevin Clayton, a Gangster Disciples enforcer. On a series of wiretaps, the FBI heard Gumbs give broad information to Clayton about police activity. The jury found Gumbs guilty of racketeering involving murder. Prosecutors said Gumbs knew full well that the Gangster Disciples killed people.
The war damaged him, his mother said.
“When my son came back, he was not the son I dropped off.” Janelle Gumbs spoke of nightmares where Gumbs would be screaming.

Jermaine “Big Dog” Southall pulls 27 years

“This defendant was at the top of the pyramid,” said a South Carolina U.S. District Judge, as Jermaine “Big Dog” Southall, stood before him. The charge against him was drug trafficking conspiracy and the sentence was 27 years in a federal prison.

Southall's three state cocaine and heroin distribution ring generated millions.
The judge said his sentence would have been life if not for a plea agreement.

Spanish cops seize 1.2 tonnes of cocaine on ship busted for second time in two weeks

Hidden among sacks containing 3,500 tonnes of corn, cops found 1,210kg of cocaine.Spanish cops seized more than 1.2 tonnes of cocaine on a ship carrying corn from Brazil, two weeks after Brazilian cops confiscated 1.5 tonnes from the same vessel.

The Unispirit was intercepted 50 nautical miles off the island of Gran Canaria.
The tip came from Brazilian cops who reported the ship left Brazil under mysterious circumstances before they had finished examining it's cargo. They landed 1,524kg.

Kelowna HA prospects Townsend, Bayley finally go to trial

Prospect Jason Dennis Townsend was charged with common assault and assault by choking after attacking a woman. Townsend is a former member of the Renegades MC in Prince George. He was sentenced in 2014 to two years in jail for a vicious attack on three people in Prince George which was caught on camera. He was convicted of two counts of aggravated assault and one count of assault causing bodily harm
Townsend has a long criminal history with convictions for assault, drug trafficking and firearms.
Townsend's trial will begin on the same day as the trial for HA prospect Colin Bayley.
Bayley had just completed 12-months probation for a previous assault conviction before another brutal attack. He faces trial for aggravated assault.

Belgian cops seize 11.5 tons of cocaine in shipment from Guyana

Belgian prosecutors announced the largest-ever overseas drug bust “in the world.” Cops tracked the transatlantic journey of 11.5-tons (23,000 pounds) of cocaine from Guyana, and seized it upon its arrival at the Port of Antwerp. The catch is described as “the largest overseas drug bust ever, worldwide.” The street value of the load is over €900 million.

The dismantlement of a drug gang with connections to cops in late September led to the arrest and indictment of 22 people, with three people still in the Netherlands awaiting extradition.
