Ebola Gain of Function no joke - Update

The Chinese have dismissed reports that three researchers had fallen sick with coronavirus-like symptoms shortly before the first cases emerged in Wuhan. They also dismiss questions over China’s lack of transparency with data and refusal for a "lab audit".China has rejected a request from the World Health Organization (WHO) that they return to sites in China to investigate the origins of COVID-19. Experts made their first visit to Wuhan in mid-January, more than a year after the first cases.
Ebola virus disease (EVD) is a severe, often fatal illness. The average EVD fatality rate is 50%. Fatality rates have varied from 25% to 90% in past outbreaks. The 2014–2016 outbreak in West Africa was the largest Ebola outbreak since the virus was discovered in 1976. Fruit bats are the host.
'Gain of Function' experiments force viruses to mutate to become more deadly. Extreme Chinese interest in GOF with one of the deadliest viruses on earth ought to be ringing alarm bells. Who are making the ethical decisions for humanity on bioweapons, the PLA? If so the next pandemic might be an Ebola variant which would make COVID look like a pussycat.

People remain infectious as long as their blood contains the Ebola virus.

[48] At some point, Mr. Dipopolo acquired a one-third interest in a company called Liquid Zoo Holdings Ltd. On August 23, 2005, Mr. Dipopolo, together with the two other shareholders in Liquid Zoo Holdings Ltd., Messrs. Bruneau and Raffael, signed a promissory note for $350,000 payable to Amacon Management.

[62] Liquid Zoo Holdings executed a mortgage dated May 12, 2006, in favour of Amacon for the amount of $650,000. However, this mortgage was not registered until more than one year later, on August 10, 2007. Mr. Dipopolo appeared to consider the mortgage to be further security for Amacon's $350,000 loan to the three Liquid Zoo Holdings shareholders made about one year earlier, in August 2005.

US and allies accuse Chinese government of hacking

The Chinese government was the mastermind behind a series of malicious ransomware, data theft and cyber-espionage attacks. The sprawling Microsoft Exchange hack earlier this year was the work of Chinese state sponsored hackers. Their activities were linked to the hacker groups Advanced Persistent Threat 40 and Advanced Persistent Threat 31. The group of nations attributing the attack to China includes Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Japan and NATO.
The U.S. charged four Chinese with the Ministry of State Security with a campaign to hack into computer systems of dozens of companies, universities and government entities in the U.S. and abroad between 2011 and 2018. The indictment alleges the hackers targeted, among other things, Ebola vaccine research.
China condemns “groundless accusations,” saying that tracing the source of cyberattacks is a “highly sensitive political issue.” China has long insisted that it is not a perpetrator but a victim of cyberattacks.
