RJ McLeod reeled in

It is all over for ex-marine RJ McLeod who had been on the run from American justice for 6 years after the murder of his girlfriend.

He was extradited to San Diego to face a murder charge stemming from the 2016 killing of 30-year-old Krystal Mitchell. McLeod was spotted over the years in Guatemala, Mexico and Belize. A $50,000 reward was offered for information leading to his capture. A recent tip informed cops that McLeod was teaching English at a school in the city of Sonsonate.

2,290 kg of cocaine up in smoke in El Salvador

El Salvador's Anti-Narcotics Division destroyed 5,048 lbs (2,290 kg) of cocaine worth $91m in Changallo. The National Civil Police of El Salvador said that the drugs were seized from foreigners.

The anniversary of the Aman Manj hit is approaching without any arrests. Mitchell Engler - putting the 'pro' into prolific

Engler drove the stolen truck on flat tires until it could no longer be operated.

'Prolific' repeat offender Mitchell Engler is in custody on multiple offences, again. Cops in an unmarked police car followed a stolen black Ram pickup. Olds RCMP then deployed a tire deflation device. It was effective and the vehicle was disabled.

Charges number 15 and include flight from cops. The latest batch add to the 25 outstanding charges Engler is already on bail for. Its deja vu all over again because in 2020 Engler was picked up on five warrants with 23 charges including flight from police, dangerous operation of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and failing to comply with conditions of release.

Rabih Alkhalil escapes from North Fraser - Guilty

Rabih Alkhalil was found guilty of the first-degree murder of Sandip Duhre in January of 2012. Duhre was gunned down in a busy downtown Vancouver hotel in a brazen execution. Six months later Johnny Raposo was shot four times in the head at point-blank range. Alkhalil was one of four men convicted of that murder.

Hells Angel Larry Amero stood trial along with Alkhalil and was found guilty of conspiracy to commit Duhre's murder. Cops have released surveillance video and photos from the Rabih 'Robby' Alkhalil escape from North Fraser Pretrial on July 21. Alkhalil, 35, escaped with the help of two suspects posing as contractors. Dopey cops initially released photos of the two suspects that were stock images plumbed from the internet.

Rabih Alkhalil has escaped from the high security North Fraser Pretrial Centre. Corrections will be investigating how the killer managed to escape from North Fraser on Thursday night with the help of two Americans. The two men posed as contractors working at the jail, where they helped Alkhalil to escape wearing a black jumpsuit and a construction vest. A plasma torch was used in the escape. A Canada wide warrant has been issued for Alkhalil's arrest while an Interpol Red Notice is pending. Alkhalil is considered extremely dangerous and should not be approached.

The trial of Alkhalil and co-accused Hells Angel Larry Amero resumed without him.

Milly the marmoset has a happy ending

When UK drug dealer Vicki Holland was busted, footage emerged of the sick woman abusing a simian at her home in Newport, Wales. 22 cellphone videos depicted her mistreating the monkey. Three were shown in court, including an appalling clip of Holland laughing as she tries to flush a distressed Milly down the toilet while she clings desperately to the bowl. Holland has been banned from keeping all animals for life and slapped with a 12-week jail term. The animal abuser was also ordered to pay £420 in costs and a £128 victim surcharge.

As for Milly the marmoset, she has found love at a monkey sanctuary. Even after getting a new home, Milly struggled to adjust and was terrified of people. The primate is doing much better after being introduced to 'Moon', a male marmoset. The two survivors of UK's illegal pet trade are seldom apart.

Swimsuit contestant a cocaine queenpin

Miss Swimsuit UK contestant Melissa Mikosz, 32, lived a "lavish, holiday-filled lifestyle". She has been jailed for seven years and three months after helping run a cocaine empire in a Derbyshire town with her boyfriend, Thomas Carlisle 28.

Carlisle was jailed for 11 years and three months. Prosecutors said, "the scale of the operation was so vast that they often ran out of drugs bags and one of Carlisle's dealers reported closing 18 deals a day."

The judge told Mikosz, "You were a willing and enthusiastic participant, you enjoyed a lavish lifestyle and the trappings of Mr Carlisle's criminality. It's quite plain on a number of occasions your address was visited by police that did not deter you."

Bounty increased for gangster Dawood Ibrahim

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 25 lakh (about 31k USD) for information on “global terrorist” Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, a key suspect in the 1992-93 Mumbai blasts. The Bombay bombings were a series of 12 terrorist bombings that took place in Bombay, Maharashtra, on 12 March 1993. The single-day attacks resulted in 257 fatalities and 1,400 injuries. The NIA has also placed a bounty of Rs 20 lakh on Dawood’s aide Chhota Shakeel, and a bounty of Rs 15 lakh each on his other accomplices. All the fugitives are hiding in Pakistan. According to the NIA, Dawood has nine addresses in Pakistan, three Pakistani passports, and operates under several aliases.

$140m in cocaine and meth shipped from Canada to Oz in Bentley

Cops in Australia found a large load of cocaine and meth worth an estimated $140m hidden inside a vintage Bentley shipped from Canada earlier this month. 161 kg of meth and 30 kg of cocaine were packed inside a 1960 Bentley S2.

Heavily armed cops raided a residence in a suburb of Sydney after replacing the drugs. Two men were busted red-handed as they were trying to retrieve the goods. A subsequent traffic stop on a highway near Brisbane resulted in the seizure of an additional 2.2 kg of meth and over $1m in cash.
