'Ndrangheta boss Vittorio Raso busted in Spanish traffic stop
![]() | Vittorio Raso was released from custody by mistake two years ago after being arrested in Spain on a warrant from Italian cops, who wanted him for organized crime, extortion and drug trafficking.
The National Court of Spain released him over a warrant mix-up. 43-year-old Raso's freedom lasted until June 21 when his car was stopped in Castelldefels during a routine check by Spanish police. Raso's forged papers were revealed as fakes and he was busted.![]() |

Harb Dhaliwal killer sentenced - 20 years
![]() | Francois Joseph Gauthier, 53, had been charged with first degree murder in the execution of Brothers Keepers gangster Harb Dhaliwal but pleaded guilty to the lesser offence of second-degree murder. On the night of April 17, 2021, Gauthier used a semi-automatic handgun with a silencer to shoot Dhaliwal 10 times, including twice in the back of the head. ![]() | Sérgio Roberto De Carvalho, 64 is known as 'Major Carvalho' – a nod to his former career in the Brazilian Army. He was the subject of an Interpol Red Notice for drug trafficking, money laundering, document fraud and homicide. Carvalho was arrested living under a fake identity in Hungary.
In 2021, Brazilian police forced the landing of a Turkish jet that had taken off from a small airport in Ribeirao Preto and seized 1.3 tonnes of cocaine. Carvalho was one of the traffickers behind the operation.![]() |

Dutch godfather Holleeder life sentence upheld

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. That appears to be the mantra of Staten Island mobster Eugene 'Boobsie' Castelle. He's taking another stab at early release, his third. This time he's blaming his lawyer.

The soldier for the Luchese family tried to claim he misunderstood the deal. He decided the plea deal he rejected was what we wanted all along. Castelle faces between 30 to 40 months behind bars on a gambling charge. He is currently free on a $1m bond. |
The mobster tried to claim a threat from Covid in jail. That claim was dismissed. Castelle was convicted in 2019 for racketeering conspiracy and running an illegal gambling house. In 2008, he had completed an 88-month sentence for racketeering conspiracy. Ex-HA bikie Dennis Basic guilty
![]() | Ex-Hells Angel bikie Dennis Basic, 42, was sentenced to 26 months and 14 days in prison for a dozen offences including assaulting an emergency worker, animal cruelty and recklessly causing injury. He was jailed for throwing a heavy bollard at a mounted officer and hitting a police horse in the head during separate protests in Melbourne in 2020 and 2021. While wielding a 'resist' flag, Basic used the flagpole to hit a police horse in the head multiple times. Cops subsequently searched his home and found illegal weapons. | ![]() |

In 2007 Basic was involved in helping HA bikies try to blow up the Nitro Gym, owned by Comancheros president Michael Murray. Mural of Conor McGregor helps sink drug kingpin

Palin, 36, was found guilty of conspiracy to supply 700kg of cocaine, 15kg of heroin and 40kg of meth during a hearing at Liverpool Crown Court. Palin, ‘Titch.com’ uploaded the mural from his phone onto EncroChat. The loot when he was busted was extensive. Assets including £129k in watches, and £135k in designer clothes. Its a significant 29 years in prison for a man who refused to plead guilty despite being busted cold. |
