Ralph Stanfield - SA construction mafia

Firms run by the wife of 28s gang boss Ralph Stanfield have been blacklisted as the City of Cape Town excludes contractors tied to wife Nicole Johnson. The City says after the murder of staffer Wendy Kloppers, it launched an investigation into the extortion mafia and companies which applied for tenders. Nicole Johnson owned 7 out of 12 companies.
Moll Nicole Johnson’s business was thrust into the spotlight in 2019 after her company, Glomix House Brokers, was awarded a tender to build houses in Valhalla Park, a stronghold of the 28s gang. A city manager says the formation of construction companies by gangsters to obtain government tenders is a ploy to steal. He says while skollies (slang, petty criminals) portray themselves as Robin Hoods, the community suffers as extortion impacts social housing. Wendy Kloppers was visiting the Delft Symphony Way housing project site when she was gunned down Feb 16. The Delft Housing Project has been suspended and the poor will wait even longer for homes.

Paraguay on the cocaine rise

On October 24, 2023 cops in Paraguay seized 3,312 kg of cocaine. Landed at the port of Villeta in Asunción, the drugs are valued at $1.4 billion. The cocaine was bound for Europe, hidden in a container with sacks containing rice. Miguel Insfrán, 'Tío Rico' and Sebastián Marset founded the First Uruguayan Cartel (Primer Cartel Uruguayo – PCU) in 2021.
A report highlights how Paraguay has gone from being a transit country to an emerging source of cocaine. There was an increase in seizures of cocaine paste, an indication of processing. The Paraguayan Chaco has become a crucial transit point in Latin American drug trafficking. The flow of cocaine comes from northern countries and enters the country through some 1,500 clandestine airstrips, mainly located in Chaco, Canindeyú, Itapúa, and Misiones.
Lacking resources and organization, authorities in Uruguay are struggling to combat the steep rise in global drug trafficking.

Frédérick Silva to solve dozens of murders

As many as 65 murders are about to be solved. The confessions of the Terrebonne killer will shake the pillars of the Montreal Mafia, the Hells Angels and other criminal organizations in Quebec. In 2013, during the Magot investigation, cops began to observe Silva in the company of some big names in organized crime. The new star cop witness has been giving information since June 2022 and its said to be huge and growing ever larger. Anyone with ties to Frédérick Silva is now considered an annoying witness in need of fast removal.
Silva with Gregory Woolley in 2014.
"Our sources tell us that "it's bigger than Gérald Gallant".
This refers to the infamous hitman turned informer who confessed to 28 murders. Its said Silva has provided detailed statements about several dozen murders committed on behalf of various organized crime factions in Quebec. The killer was so busy he often called on subcontractors for some of his work. Like Gallant, he was unable to say how much money he made. Unlike Gallant, Silva isn't seeking compensation. His only demand was for protection. Top players in Quebec organized crime are surely getting worried, their time is running out.
