The Habib Brothers and the Kingpin Crew - 'In your corner'

Surrey slumlord Amit Chopra reached out to Kelowna mayoral candidate David Habib to help remove tenants from a drug house in 2022. Habib's solution was simple, board the property up with the druggies inside. “I’ve always been as I like to say, ‘in your corner,’” said Habib.

In Sept 2013 a truck exploded in the driveway of a home in Kelowna as the result of a bomb. The truck didn't just catch fire, it exploded in the middle of the residential neighbourhood in the middle of the night.

The resulting fireball destroyed the vehicle and was labelled 'suspicious' by fire crews and the RCMP. Cops dealt with 3 bomb cases that year, including when one blew up a truck owned by David Habib.

David Joseph Habib. His brother, Dale, was president of the Kingpin Crew, a disbanded puppet club of the Hells Angels. It folded in 2013 on orders of the HAMC.

Kevin Van Kalkeren bought 16 years for trafficking.

The Kingpin Crew sold drugs from Habib's 'Liquid Zoo' nightclub for many, many years, including mountains of cocaine from major operator Kevin Van Kalkeren. At some point Dale Habib and the Kingpin crew lost the support of the Hells Angels. David Habib tried to sell the club and building to a numbered company. A Liquor Control Branch investigation found that one of the new owners was Hells Angel President Damiano Dipopolo. The Branch refused to transfer the liquor license and the sale was unwound. The nightclub's license was returned in late 2011 and Habib reopened on January 9, 2012 with a special anti-gang condition. 3 days later, cops did a walk through of the club and saw a known gangster/drug dealer wearing a cap with the gang’s insignia on it.

Donny Lyons was a member of the Kingpin Crew and was very close to VP Lester Jones. Both Damiano Dipopolo and Jones were kicked out in bad from the HAMC for stealing club funds. They stole from the collection trying to save 3 HA clubhouses in B.C. from forfeiture. Upwards of $3m was raised and a good slice of that was stolen by the 2 garbage low bikers. The Kelowna clubhouse was purchased by the city and was leveled.

Damiano Dipopolo out of HAMC in bad - thief

Former Kelowna president Damiano Dipopolo and vice-president Lester Jones were kicked out of the HAMC in bad standing for pilfering club funds. Out in Bad Standing is a term for banishment when a member is expelled from an OMG. The HAMC blew some $3.1m attempting to save its clubhouses in B.C. A significant cut was removed by the pair of garbage-low bikers, and that's the reason they were kicked out in bad standing. They are thieves against their brothers. Violating a core principal means both men may be attacked on sight by other HAMC. It is a fundamental betrayal of biker code of conduct.

Out bad is reserved for the following: That member violated universal MC protocol. That member went against the word of the club in his actions. That member was a Sex Offender. (Child molester) That member was working with/for/in assistance with Police. That member was a thief. That member committed violent acts on another Member or associate without cause. That member committed violent acts on a member of the public unjustly and severely. That member is a drug addict. The vote to expell a member must be unanimous. If a HAMC member was a police rat he will virtually certainly be killed. In some cases a member out in bad is to be attacked on sight. In all cases members must not and will not associate with a member out in bad.

Digstown Clothing went up in flames at 2:00am in Feb 2007. RCMP released video of a man with a limp caught on camera at the back of the business before the blaze. A 'person of interest' came forward March 21, 2007 after the video aired. Damiano Dipopolo has bad knees. He collected $54k in insurance proceeds from the blaze. "It is totally suspicious because of the intensity of the fire and the time frame. We know it was an accelerated fire," said Kelowna Fire Chief Rene Blanleil. No charges were ever laid.

Dipopolo used DeCotiis family money approaching $1m to expand the HAMC into Kelowna.

Damiano Dipopolo is out of the HAMC in bad standing. The reason is because he is a thief and stole club funds. Dipopolo regularly brought bad press to the club. The number of criminals busted under his never convicted watch can't be counted. Damiano Dipopolo often bragged of being arrested, and released without charge, 8 times. Founding member's Dipopolo fall from grace began after losing the Kelowna presidency to Richard Goldammer in 2022. He accumulated great wealth while being the top crime boss in the city for 20 years.

The out bad biker now has ex top Calgary gang cop Sat Parhar making his threats for him. There is no confirming word that Damiano Dipopolo was an RCMP asset for over 2 decades. We say he best be watching his back now. Even the HAMC has no use for Damiano Dipopolo's fully black character and all it takes is one ratted out criminal to even the score.

Brandon Hughes' killers were waiting for him on July 23, 2009. After coming home from Vancouver's Celebration of Light fireworks, Hughes was gunned down outside his North Vancouver home. Giulo DeCotiis and Paolo DeCotiis were introduced to Rocco Dipopolo and Damiano Dipopolo through architect Oberto Oberti.

The Dipopolos found their assassin through their connections with the Rizzuto Crime family - Luigi Salvatore Pasquale. Pasquale had an accomplice. 2 days after the murder of Hughes, Pasquale fled to Italy, where he lived in the vicinity of Palermo. In 2011, extradition proceedings were initiated to bring Pasquale to face trial in Canada for the murder of Brandon Vito Hughes. Cops had strong fingerprint evidence against the hit man. Pasquale was murdered in November 2011 outside a villa near Palermo.
