Cocaine in candies
Nigeria's National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, intercepted a Brazil returnee, Agbasi Prosper Chux with cocaine concealed in candies at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos on Christmas Day. An initial search of Chux's two checked in bags almost gave him a free pass as there was nothing incriminating found. NDLEA cops then took an interest in the duty-free shopping nylon bags containing packs of 'candies’ he was holding in his hands. The packs of candies concealed 105 parcels of cocaine weighing 2.8 kilograms. A plastic bottle of body lotion also tested positive for cocaine with a total weight of 472 grams. |

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu lost his extradition fight and he is on his way to Washington State. He is charged in the U.S. with five others with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and heroin. It stems from a bust in 2014 with Oliynyk.

The drug smuggler from North Sydney was involved in a large-scale operation to bring the cocaine, worth $248m, into Sydney from Brazil. Acting on a tip-off from the DEA, the Australian Border Force intercepted the shipment of 2,000 boxes of fruit pulp from Brazil. Cops watched for two weeks as De Hesselle collected and searched through the banana pulp to remove cocaine they had replaced with inert powder. Peralta, known as 'César the Abuser' was accused of ordering the shooting of David Ortiz in a Dominican nightclub. The drug kingpin was never formally charged with the Ortiz shooting. Ten men connected to the shooting of David Ortiz received sentences ranging from five to 30 years. They were handed down by a court in the Dominican Republic. Ortiz was shot in the back at a bar in 2019. News reports speculated that the hit was ordered by Peralta over a love triangle involving Dominican model Maria Yeribell Martinez Garcia. | ![]() |

Megan Hess | Funeral Home owner Megan Hess, 46, pleaded guilty to fraud in July. She operated a funeral home, Sunset Mesa, and a body parts entity, Donor Services, from the same building in Montrose, Colorado. Her 20 year stretch was the maximum allowed under law. Her mother, Shirley Koch, 69 also pleaded guilty to fraud and was sentenced to 15 years. Her central role was chopping up the bodies. Jordan seizes 1 ton of captagon
![]() | Jordan has seized a tonne of amphetamine pills being smuggled in date paste at the border with Iraq.
A total of six million pills of the drug known as Captagon were found inside two refrigerated trucks. It was one of the largest haul ever intercepted.
Captagon, dubbed "the poor man's cocaine", is produced in huge quantities in Syria, which is now a narco-state. Syrian captagon trade is now worth far more than any legal exports. Skirmishes between the Jordanian military and drug traffickers are more frequent.

Salemme was serving a life sentence for murder at a federal medical prison in Missouri. He was convicted in 2018 on one count of murder of a witness for the 1993 gangland slaying of Boston nightclub owner Steven DiSarro. DiSarro hadn't been seen since 1993. Phil Boudreault goes on with life as a wheelchair bound, partially disabled Ontario Nomad. See Here. In mid-April 2016 then Nomad vice president Phil Boudreault was shot off his bike in Lachute. He was seriously injured with a punctured lung and a bullet fragment that had lodged near his spine. He was reported to be permanently disabled. The shooting was said to be an internal club matter as Quebec HA territory (Sherbrook chapter) had been encroached with no tax being paid.

Matthew James Johnston, 38, died of cancer at the North Fraser Pretrial Centre in Port Coquitlam. Johnston and co-accused Cody Rae Haevischer were found guilty of six counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder in October 2014. The Red Scorpion gangsters were convicted in the Oct. 19, 2007 executions of Corey Lal, Michael Lal, Eddie Narong and Ryan Bartolomeo, and innocent bystanders Christopher Mohan and Ed Schellenberg. Before being transferred to Ottawa, Claude Savoie led the C Division’s Montreal drug-trafficking investigations. | Claude Savoie sat alone in his office at RCMP headquarters in Ottawa on a Monday morning. Savoie felt the walls closing in. Savoie was corrupt. He was taking money from one of the biggest drug traffickers in Canada, Allan 'The Weasel' Ross of the West End Gang. Savoie knew the Fifth Estate was scheduled to air the story. Drug lord Curtis 'Cocky' Warren, 59, was released from Whitemoor jail in Cambridgeshire after serving 14 years. Known as Britain's Pablo Escobar, his path was to become synonymous with Escobar - a man who was head of the Medellin Cartel and known as the 'King of Cocaine'. In the late 1980s Warren teamed up with Brian Charrington and headed to Venezuela. The men arranged to import cocaine sealed inside lead ingots, making it difficult for the authorities to detect by X-ray.
