Charges have been withdrawn against the main figure in the case, Wei Wei. His lawyers say dirty cops planted evidence and stole watches worth hundreds of thousands from his bedroom.

The 'Mackenzie No. 5 Club' is owned by Toronto real estate developer Wei Wei. Wei met at least twice in 2016 with Trudeau, including at a controversial Liberal fundraiser. Wei was also among a delegation representing a Chinese government endorsed group that met separately with Trudeau. A member of that delegation donated $1m to the Trudeau Foundation. Wei and his wife, Xing Yue Chen, bought the property in 2015 for $4.7m.

Wei came to Canada a decade ago under the investor-immigrant program. A person named Wei Wei owns 50 properties around Toronto.

29 were charged with a combined 74 criminal offences.

A 20,000 square foot mansion, more than $1m and 11 firearms were seized as cops in York dismantled an illegal casino and spa. Project End Game was initiated after police received information on underground casinos operating in Markham. On July 23, 32 people were arrested at a $9m mansion that was being operated as a “high-end illegal casino.”

The mansion was restrained by cops and 11 firearms, $1m, $1.5m in alcohol, and gaming machines and tables were seized.

The property offered high roller gamblers accommodation, spa treatments, beverage services, sex, and high-end food, including contraband items such as braised shark fin. The Independent Police Review Director will investigate what went on with York Regional Police's "Project Endgame."

The mansion is now for sale with a price of $9,980,000.

The latest criminal to be convicted from hacked encrypted messaging service EncroChat was a cop. PC Kashif Mahmood, 32, carried out stops on cars he knew to be carrying drug money at the behest of a syndicate. Mahmood would take marked and unmarked police vehicles, and, dressed in his police uniform, travel to locations where the crime group was aware of the transfer of cash. Mahmood would then seize it, under the pretence of his powers as a cop.

At least £850,000 in cash was stolen. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said former officer Mahmood was 'audacious, corrupt and criminal'. He pulled 8 years in jail. Drug kingpin Mohsin Khan was sentenced to 16 years for conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Gang of Vancouver cops arrest retired judge for "officer safety"

Vancouver cops have apologized after 5 uniformed Nazi mistakenly detained and handcuffed well-known retired judge Selwyn Romilly on Friday. Selwyn Romilly was the first Black man named to the B.C. Supreme Court. Romilly was walking on the seawall when he was approached by cops looking for a suspect who had been yelling and screaming. The oinkers told Romilly he matched the description of the suspect, and placed him in handcuffs for “officer safety.” The suspect was described as a 40-50 year-old dark-skinned man; Romilly is 81.

Romilly was born in Trinidad and Tobago and came to Vancouver to study at UBC, where he graduated in 1966. He was appointed as a judge in 1974, and in 1995 was elevated to the B.C. Supreme Court. The retired judge had a long and distinguished career and is highly respected. "They didn’t ask me my name or questions. They put the handcuffs on in indecent haste.” Romilly said he was upset and embarrassed but that the handcuffs didn’t stay on for long. “I told them I was a retired Supreme Court judge. I don’t know whether that made them have second thoughts.”

Surrey Police release photos of Murder Targets - Flashback

Mandeep Grewal of Coquitlam, brother of slain gangster Gavinder Grewal, was shot dead in Abbotsford in Oct 2018. Surrey RCMP had warned the public in late July of 2017 about associating with his other brother Manbir Grewal, then 28, and four others. Mandeep Grewal is the 14th South Asian to be murdered this year in the Lower Mainland area. None of the murders has been solved. Police say targets of recent shootings continue to pose a risk to the public in Surrey. In an effort to try and ensure safety, police are identifying five men who are believed to be the targets of shots fired over the past two months.

The targets are identified as 25-year-old Karman Singh Grewal from Vancouver, 28-year-old Manbir Singh Grewal and 29-year-old Ibrahim Amjed Ibrahim from Coquitlam, 23-year-old Indervir Singh Johal and 23-year-old Harmeet Singh Sanghera from Surrey. All refused to provide statements or information. Ibrahim Amjad Ibrahim was found shot dead in Richmond in October 2017.

Kelowna prospect Colin Michael Bayley pulls 9 months

The trial for the HA prospect had been delayed more than eight months after he switched lawyers. Colin Bayley was charged in 2019 with aggravated assault. He pled guilty the day his trial was to begin. Just deserts this time is 9 months.

A raid on their clubhouse earlier in the week didn't appear to slow down festivities at the annual 'K-Town BBQ Cook Off', hosted by the Kelowna chapter of the Hells Angels in 2019. Various full patch and associated bikers appeared for the event.

Colin Michael Bayley, 30, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in connection with the vicious assault of a Kelowna man on May 6, 2019.

Hells Angel Serge Lebrasseur appealed his 4 month sentence for being an intimidator at a ferry terminal in 2019. He was arrested for breach of conditions and is back in jail. He thought it would be funny to threaten folks on Facebook. The semi-amazing biker likely isn't laughing now.

The Texas Mexican Mafia: Mexikanemi

The Mexican Mafia, or “La Eme” is a U.S.-based gang made up primarily of Mexican-American street gangsters. The Texas Mexican Mafia was formed by Heriberto “Herb” Huerta in 1984 at the Huntsville prison in Texas. The original purpose of the Mexikanemi was to bring Mexican nationals and Mexican Americans together to defend against other predatory prison gangs like the Texas Syndicate. The Mexikanemi quickly grew into a formidable force within the Texas prison system. As members were released, the group focused on drug trafficking, extortion, murder, and robbery. The Mexikanemi soon spread to numerous cities across Texas.

By the early 2000s, the Mexikanemi were a powerful criminal force in Texas, allied with many Mexican drug cartels. The group’s first major transnational alliances were with the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas, providing access to unlimited quantities of drugs. Soon the Mexikanemi expanded into all aspects of the drug trade, including trafficking, wholesale supply, and retail sale.

The Mexikanemi has a paramilitary structure that includes a president, vice president, generals, captains, lieutenants, sergeants, and soldiers. Heriberto Huerta remains president of the gang and runs the organization from his prison cell in the supermax federal penitentiary in Florence, Colorado. Benito Alonzo is the gang’s vice-president, and Robert Carreno is the leader of the group’s outside criminal activities. Huerta and Alonzo are estimated to have close to 5,000 Mexikanemi members under their control throughout Texas and parts of northern Mexico.

The Texas Mexican Mafia is highly active in Texas. Additional income is generated through the taxation of local, street-level drug dealers. Dealers who refuse to pay this 10% tax or “dime” are subject to home invasions, also known as “door kicks.” Mexikanemi members are known for their extreme brutality, killing anyone who attempts to obstruct or limit them. The Mexikanemi are recognized as the most powerful and influential gang operating in south Texas.

Nicodemo Domenico "Little Nicky" Scarfo Sr.

Nicodemo "Little Nicky" Scarfo was a brutal and much-feared hitman and soldier who by 1981 became the boss of the Philadelphia Crime Family. Scarfo's "street tax" to operate in Philadelphia and Atlantic City was a weekly 30% of profits. Those who refused to pay were killed. Scarfo is described as a 'greedy, small-minded and violent terrorist who climbed to the top over the dead bodies of onetime associates' He died at a federal medical centre prison in 2017 at 87.

Scarfo stood 5-foot-5 with a high-pitched voice. His reign ended in 1988 when he and 16 others were convicted of racketeering. Multiple rats sunk Scarfo. The men were found guilty of participating in a criminal enterprise that killed nine, tried to kill four others and participated in extortion, gambling, loan sharking and drug trafficking.
