Dutch patrol ship finds 5,000 kg of cocaine floating in Caribbean

The crew of the Royal Dutch Navy patrol vessel HNLMS Holland had an easy drug bust last week.

They found a huge cargo of cocaine floating on the high seas and waiting for pickup. There were no arrests.

No pursuits, warning shots or boardings; all they had to do was pull 5,000 kg of cocaine out of the water. Patrol aircraft spotted a floating field of bales in international waters of the Caribbean, and the Holland diverted to the scene to investigate.

Canadian flight crew escape Dominican Republic after 8 months

The Canadian flight crew were detained on April 6 after reporting 210kg of cocaine on their aircraft. They were not allowed to leave the chithole country. Surveillance video that was captured at Punta Cana International Airport the night before was tampered with, suggesting a conspiracy against the Canadians. Folks best avoid a country like the Dominican Republic. There are better alternatives. Its a Hells Angels paradise for a reason.

Crew found the drugs in a compartment that contained critical electrical gear and reported the find both to local officials and the RCMP.

Canadian charter airline Pivot Airlines says its 2 pilots and 2 flight attendants are being unfairly detained in dangerous, inhumane conditions in the Dominican Republic after reporting what turned out to be 210 kg of cocaine stashed in their plane. The aircraft is a Bombardier regional jet that until two years ago was flying under Air Canada Express colors. It is now held at Punta Cana airport.

The plane is registered under C-FWRR and still bears the 105 tail number used when it flew Air Canada Express routes. It has travelled extensively in the Caribbean over the last year, according to the FlightRadar24 website. Almost all of its 65 flights since mid-December have been to or from the region, including stops in the Dominican Republic, Saint Martin, Jamaica, Nassau, Puerto Rico and Antigua. 4.6 tonnes of cocaine intercepted by French Navy

On Nov 30, a Brazilian vessel carrying over 4.6 tonnes of cocaine was intercepted by the French Navy as a result of joint intelligence. Heading towards Europe, the 21 meter-long vessel was intercepted in international waters off the coast of Sierra Leone.

The cocaine is believed to be worth in excess of £300m. The French navy boarded the vessel in international waters 400 miles off the coast. The crew, all Brazilians, were detained and the cocaine was destroyed.

$60m drug plot foiled by photo of dog Bob

A plot to smuggle $60m worth of drugs to Australia was foiled after a gangster sent a photo of his dog on an encrypted network. The picture, spotted on EncroChat by National Crime Agency (NCA) investigators, showed Danny Brown‘s partner’s phone number on his pet dog’s tag. Brown‘s gang stuffed a stash of MDMA in the arms of a mechanical digger, and created a fake auction to make shipping the machinery 10,000 miles from Southampton to Brisbane in Australia appear legitimate.

The pair incriminated themselves further by both sending accidental selfies through the cracked messaging service.

Their plot was foiled when Brown, 55, unintentionally sabotaged it by sending a photo of his pet dog Bob on encrypted messaging service EncroChat, clearly showing his partner’s personal information. Under the handle “throwthedice”, Brown sent the pooch picture to co-conspirator Stefan Baldauf as they hatched a plan to send 448 kilos of MDMA to Australia.

62 guns seized in GTA - Project Barbell

62 firearms cops say were destined for Toronto streets have been seized as a result of ‘Project Barbell.’ Cops started watching 2 trafficking firearms in the city in the fall of 2021. Cops say that many of the seized firearms are Glocks which can be purchased in the United States for under $1k and then resold on Toronto streets for between $4,500 and $6,000. 57 of the guns originated in the US. Only one firearm originated in Ontario. It was stolen during a break-and-enter in 2021. The haul included three AK-type assault rifles, one of which was loaded with 61 rounds of ammunition, as well as 15 AR-15 type carbine style rifles. “This was a supply to be sold on the streets of Toronto,” cops said.

Cops have laid a total of 260 charges against the six taken into custody as a result of Project Barbell. Syed Mohammed Ali Zaidi, 27, is facing additional charges in relation to a shooting that took place inside Bar Karma near Queen and Portland streets on Oct. 19, 2021.

Zaidi was in possession of two guns at the time of his arrest. Also busted is Michael Simpson, 29, (he also had a gun on him) Syeda Tirmizi, 27, and Shaheen Abdul, 62.

Kevin Tate denied parole - Gaétan Gosselin

Kevin Tate, Stanley Minuty, Edrick Antoine and Olivier Gay.

Tate, 39, was part of a group of the reds, Unit 44, from the Bo-gars. They watched Gaetan Gosselin for two days before killing him in front of his home. Gaétan Gosselin was Raynald Desjardins' best friend; Gosselin took care of his business and family after his arrest for the murder of Salvatore Montagna on Dec 21, 2011.

In Sept 2022, cops from the Sûreté du Québec met with the detainees, including Tate, to tell them that there were contracts on their heads. Another gang conflict may be responsible but all expect Raynald Desjardins to take his bloody gangland revenge. That surely applies to these four. The parole board wasn't impressed with Tate; “Your Case Management Team (CMT) believes that you pose a real threat to others. You present a low potential for social reintegration and an unacceptable risk to society." As for the boss, Desjardins will be out soon as another statutory date passes. Mohammed Adada - threat with knife = 1 day in jail

Frequent flyer Mohammed Abada threatened a mall security guard with death by his knife in August after being told to move along. Adada was arrested and released the same day by Vancouver cops. He then failed to show up for his court appearance. He was arrested again in November. Adada pleaded guilty Dec. 3 to assault with a weapon and was 'sentenced' to one day in jail with time served and 12 months' probation. Adada has convictions for five separate assaults since May 2021.

Migos rapper Takeoff shot dead - update

Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, has been charged with Takeoff's murder. Takeoff, Kirsnick Khari Ball, was killed when gunfire erupted outside of a private party at a downtown Houston bowling alley on Nov. 1. Two others were hit by gunfire but survived. Takeoff is being described as an innocent bystander to a high stakes craps game gone bad. Bail for Clark was set at $2m.

Migos rapper Takeoff is dead after a shooting outside a bowling alley in Houston. Kirshnik Khari Ball, 28, was a member of the platinum selling hip hop trio Migos along with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset. He was killed at a private party, reportedly at a game of craps.

Attempted hit on Davide Barberio - Update

Souverain was already in custody on other gun charges.

Gahens Lee Souverain, 23, is charged with attempted murder in the Laval shooting of Mafia strongman Davide Barberio. Barberio, 42, was shot Sept 21, 2021. A gunman fired twice towards Barberio, using a 9mm with a silencer.

Barberio recovered.

After hitting Barberio in the abdomen, the gunman fled in a dark colored Honda CRV with stolen license plates. Barberio worked under Giuseppe De Vito, an influential mafia boss who was poisoned by cyanide on July 8, 2013 while serving time in a federal pen. Barberio left the Calabrians in order to join the Sicilians of the Rizzuto clan. His influence is significant, in May 2021 top Hells Angels David Lefebvre, Martin Robert, Stéphane Plouffe and Michel Lamontagne met with mafiosos Francesco Del Balso, Marco Pizzi, Davide Barberio and Steven D'Adario at the Prima Luna restaurant. New HA Michel Lamontagne celebrated his birthday in the company of some big names in Montreal organized crime. Lamontagne was charged with possession of a firearm and breach for owning a weapon after the pow wow. That charge was eventually dropped.

Giovanni Presta guilty of murdering Sébastien Beauchamp

Giovanni Presta, the man who helped Frédérick Silva kill an associate of the Hells Angels in St-Léonard four years ago, was found guilty of first-degree murder. Presta manufactured a firearm and silencers used to kill Sébastien Beauchamp on Dec. 20, 2018, helped Silva track Beauchamp in the days leading up to the murder and drove Silva to the hit. He automatically received a life sentence for first degree murder. Silva was found guilty of Beauchamp’s murder before Presta’s case went to trial. He was also found guilty of murdering three other men. Silva has since decided to turn rat.
