Busted are Calgary residents Kunwardeep Singh, 28 and Swati Narula, 26. Singh and Narula were each handed one count of trafficking a controlled substance and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking. The pair are described as 'a couple'. |

His pleas come 2 months after his brother, Jonathan Loyie, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for his role. The investigation began in January 2021 after cops noted the importation of hundreds of kilograms of fentanyl precursor chemicals from China. Precursors could have produced 485 kg to 770 kg of finished fentanyl. CL Lab Equipment Ltd. imported a shipment of lab equipment from China. Cops raided July 7, 2021. |
